Association of Ethiopian Pediatric surgeons is honored to have Dr. Ranjiv I. Mathews, MD, a board-certified Pediatric Urologist and Professor of Clinical Surgery (Urology) at Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine, where he serves as Director of Pediatric Urology and Urology Residency Program Director as our esteemed presenter.


Dr. Mathews trained internationally and, in the U.S., completing his pediatric urology fellowship at the Brady Urological Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and has held faculty positions at Johns Hopkins and SUNY Upstate. He is a recognized expert in exstrophy-epispadias complex and specializes in congenital and acquired pediatric urologic conditions, including urinary tract infections and vesicoureteral reflux.

With 75+ peer-reviewed publications, and as a Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded RIVUR study, Dr. Mathews brings extensive academic and clinical expertise to this session.
