The Association of Ethiopian Pediatric Surgeons, in collaboration with Menelik II Comprehensive Specialized Hospital and UCSF, successfully conducted an intensive two-day training on Abdominal Surgical Emergencies in Children. From resuscitation and safe transfer of critically ill children, to hands-on neonatal CPR, newborn screening, and in-depth sessions on abdominal wall defects, neonatal intestinal obstruction, and acute abdomen in older children — this training equipped participants with life-saving skills tailored for our context. Our heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated trainers, participants, and partners who made this program possible.
